I have aftermarket wheels, is there anything I need to know?

If you have aftermarket wheels, it is important to check whether they have a chamfer in the bore on the back of the wheel.

Most of our spacers are manufactured with a chamfer on the front, allowing many OEM wheels to seat correctly as most have a chamfer in the back. Our 10mm and 12mm spacers have a larger chamfer.

It is common for aftermarket or race wheels to have no chamfer. This may cause the wheel to foul on the spacer when it is fitted and not sit flush. If you are unsure, please contact us before purchasing and send over a photo of the back of the wheel.

You will also need to check whether you have the correct fixings. Many aftermarket wheels require a tapered seat nut or bolt, which can be different to OEM (particularly VAG cars, Mercedes, SMART etc who use radius seat.) If your wheels were not supplied with any fixings or you're unsure on the correct seat, we usually advise contacting the manufacturer or wheel retailer to find out.
